Chapter 6
Karma and Rhychus’ relationship was taking off to a great start and she loved every bit of it. He was treating her to trips to Miami Beach, Vegas and Hawaii. He was showing her things she only dreamt about.
Charity had moved in with James about a month and a half ago and they were headed downhill. Since the day she moved in he became possessive and controlling like he was trying to be her father. He never wanted her to go over Karma’s and hang out anymore. He would leave his car at home on empty and drive her car, leaving her without transportation. James always wanted to chill out late at night with his friends and yet he refused to let her have any contact with Karma, or Spirit. She still talked to them over the phone but nothing was like it used to be before “boyfriends.”
Spirit had moved in Charity’s old crib and still kept her distance from Karma. If they saw one another when they were out and about then they would speak, but that would be it…nothing more nothing less. Both of them had cut all of their other bust downs off and were moving on.
She even heard that Nasia had moved out of town and left Devalon to rot in jail. Nasia was supposedly now engaged to a fucking Indian’ brotha’ that was paid. ‘That’s what his ass gets for trying to play us,’ she thought.
Karma, was feeling like she was high when it came to her and Rhychus’ relationship. They’d become super close, closer than she ever expected them to be. Karma felt drawn to this man. It was something about him that said psychiatrist. She just wanted to lie on a couch and tell him everything about herself. And for the most part she did.
Karma told him about her mother and how she died. She even confided in him about her having a drug habit. She told him about her estranged father and his family. She confessed how she tried desperately to be a part of his life and how he basically told her to shove it when she tried to have a relationship with him and her other two siblings.
Karma even told him small details about Devon and how they were supposed to get married. She made sure to leave out the fact that she was screwing his twin brother and first cousin to herself. She knew that it was bad enough that she had told him that they were engaged. Rhychus really didn’t know how to take the information that he was getting because he really liked Karma.
But for her to be engaged to another nigga when they started chillin,’ just let him know that she wasn’t for him. He cared, but not all that much. He was especially glad that he wouldn’t have to be with her for too much longer.
Karma didn’t know that Rhychus had his own secrets under his sleeve also. Soon she would find out that she wasn’t the only one with secrets.
